Summary

This study analyzed the impact of the disparity between autonomous districts in Daejeon City on citizens’ life satisfaction. The analysis revealed that the most influential factor on life satisfaction is ‘the degree of providing value to one’s job’, which offsets the influence of the autonomous district. Therefore, policies are needed to improve the economic structure and social culture to enhance compensation and social recognition for work to improve citizens’ life satisfaction.
