Summary

The number of ICOs has increased dramatically worldwide, but Korea faces limitations due to the government’s prohibition on ICOs. The study examines the applicability of current laws to ICO regulation and proposes the need for new regulations to address regulatory gaps. Considering the ICO regulations of Switzerland and Japan, options such as token type classification and guideline provision are being considered.
