Summary

This study developed and validated a pretreatment method and UHPLC-MS analytical method for the extraction and analysis of phenolic acids derived from barley straw in rivers and lakes. The developed method can be effectively applied to the analysis of phenolic acids even in complex matrices, and the elution concentration of barley straw-derived phenolic acids in actual river water was found to be extremely low.
