This study aims to estimate the size of the pet-related industry and predict the future market size in Korea, following the increasing trend of companion animals (especially dogs and cats). The number of dogs and cats raised in Korean households in 2018 is estimated to be 9.32-9.97 million, and is expected to increase to 11.55-16.49 million in 2027. The market size of the pet-related industry is projected to grow from 1.544 trillion KRW in 2018 to 3.498 trillion KRW in 2027.
