Summary

This study investigated the impact of an art class based on aesthetic experience on the changes in pre-service childcare teachers’ perceptions of art and art education. The results showed that pre-service teachers came to view art as an activity that anyone can enjoy, not just professionals, and art education as a process of experiencing enjoyment, not just teaching skills. This suggests the importance of aesthetic experience-centered art classes in teacher training.
