Summary

This study analyzed the knowledge of teacher planning of preservice and inservice early childhood teachers through concept maps. The results showed that both groups considered curriculum, teaching and learning methods, learners, and social context as important, while preservice teachers focused more on age and inservice teachers on class. Based on these findings, the study suggests the need for improvement in the teacher education curriculum.
