Summary

This study investigated the effect of adolescents’ music mood regulation strategies on school adjustment, mediated by emotion identification. The results showed that music mood regulation strategies positively influenced school adjustment through emotion identification, with emotion identification fully mediating this relationship. This suggests that mood regulation through music listening can contribute to improving adolescents’ emotional awareness and school adjustment.
