Summary

This study aims to identify the problems of workplace departure and illegal stay of foreign workers in the agriculture and livestock industry after the implementation of the Employment Permit System through qualitative case analysis and to seek improvement measures. The research results showed that workplace departure and illegal stay continued to occur despite the supplementation of the additional workplace system and the re-entry employment system for diligent workers, and the main causes were informal employment brokerage, wage issues, and labor supply-demand mismatch.
