Summary
This study aimed to examine the effects of changes in population and economic conditions on library use and to verify the income effect of library use. The panel fixed effect model analysis using public library statistics and statistical census data from 2008 to 2017 revealed that changes in the economic environment did not significantly affect the number of visitors or material room users, but had a significant impact on the number of borrowers.
