Summary

This study investigated the instructional design learning and experience of 97 pre-service elementary teachers, revealing that they learn instructional design through lesson plan writing in subject education courses and understand it as planning content, objectives, methods, and evaluation for achieving learning goals. They also design lessons based on textbooks and teacher guidelines but struggle with reconstructing content or directly designing objectives.
