Summary

This study aims to re-examine the concept of a learning society based on John Dewey's view of learning and to propose a new direction that overcomes the limitations of existing learning society concepts. From Dewey's perspective, a learning society is characterized by the linkage between school and society, a place for learning experiences, and a democratic learning community, and can be defined as a society that contributes to the growth of learners and community development.
