Summary

This study emphasizes the need for industrial classification statistics to understand the current status of the rapidly changing advertising industry and to provide policy support, while pointing out the problems of the domestic advertising industry classification system. It compares and analyzes standard industrial and product classification systems of the UN, Europe, and North America, and reviews domestic content industry classification and media-specific classification methods to suggest directions for improving the advertising industry classification system reflecting the new media environment.
