Summary
This study empirically analyzed the effect of learning goal orientation on innovative behavior of manufacturing R&D employees, the mediating role of work engagement, and the moderating effect of job characteristics. The results showed that learning goal orientation positively influences work engagement and innovative behavior, with work engagement partially mediating the relationship between them. Furthermore, job characteristics such as skill variety, task identity, and autonomy were found to moderate the relationship between learning goal orientation and work engagement.
