This study examined the effect of challenging behaviors of children with developmental disabilities on parenting burden and the mediating effect of social discrimination. The results showed that challenging behaviors increased parenting burden and social discrimination, with social discrimination having a greater impact on parenting burden. This suggests the need for interventions for challenging behaviors and efforts to mitigate social discrimination.
