Summary

This study examined the influence of emotional labor of hotel service encounter employees on their job satisfaction and organizational commitment, and tested the moderating role of perceived organizational support. The results indicated that surface acting of emotional labor had a negative effect on organizational commitment, while deep acting had a positive effect on both job satisfaction and organizational commitment. However, the moderating role of perceived organizational support was not significant in the relationship between emotional labor and job satisfaction/organizational commitment.
