Summary

This study aims to design a practical syllabus for the language adaptation education of North Korean migrants. Based on learner needs analysis and existing curriculum analysis, five categories of educational content – ‘culture, words and expressions, pronunciation, language etiquette, and activities’ – are established, and a syllabus linked to the initial intensive education at regional adaptation centers is proposed.
