Summary

This study aims to measure the thermal conductivity of landscaping vegetation mats and analyze their energy-saving effects to verify their potential as insulation materials suitable for the ‘Energy Conservation Design Standards’. The thermal conductivity of the vegetation mats is lower than that of wood, exhibiting insulation function, and it is judged that vegetation mats suitable for the standards can be manufactured by adjusting the thickness of the internal insulation material. This can contribute to reducing energy consumption in the building sector and achieving greenhouse gas reduction targets.
