Summary

This study critically examines the philosophical premises of constructivism from the perspective of critical realism. It identifies logical contradictions within conventionalism and relativistic knowledge theory, and scrutinizes the validity of constructivist psychology, the psychological basis of constructivist education, to offer a critique of constructivism. The research emphasizes that the truth of knowledge can be objectively assessed through its explanatory power of causality and the capture of real mechanisms.
