This study analyzes two aspects of the memory of the Second Manchu Invasion of Korea through Kim Hoon's *Namhansanseong* and Ryoo Ha Ryung's *Trollop*. *Namhansanseong* represents the mainstream aspect of memory by recreating the memories of the ruling class based on The Annals of the Joseon Dynasty, while *Trollop* shows the narrative of oblivion by restoring the people's history of ordeal centering on forcibly hauled people. This reveals the literary significance of shifting the way of remembering the war from the dynasty's perspective to that of the people.
