This study analyzes the role of Christian organizations in the process of North Korean refugees’ escape from North Korea and settlement in South Korea since the 1990s, examining its merits and demerits. While Christian organizations have played a crucial role in supporting overseas North Korean refugees, facilitating their entry into South Korea, and assisting with resettlement, issues such as excessive support, competitive aid, and one-off events have been identified. The study proposes solutions including resource sharing, collaboration with social welfare systems, development of self-help communities, and specialization of support ministries.
