Summary

Angelica gigas in Mt. Jeombong grows in valleys at altitudes of 750-965m, showing a soil pH of 4.9-6.0 and high soil nutrient content such as organic matter. Root growth was 47.9g in late September but decreased to 33.8g in late October, while active compounds decursin and decursinol angelate increased by 26% and 67% respectively in late October. Root growth showed a positive correlation with exchangeable cations, and active compounds showed a negative correlation with root moisture content.
