Summary

This study aimed to develop and validate a competency inventory for English teachers working from the primary school level to high school. The inventory consists of three factors – general competency, subject-specific competency, and affective competency – with a total of 46 items, and its construct validity was evaluated using exploratory factor analysis. It is expected that the developed English Teachers’ Competency Inventory (ETCI) will provide foundational data for enhancing competency levels among English teachers.
