This study analyzes the subtitle translation of the drama ‘Mr. Sunshine’ from the perspective of nationalism and anti-Japanese ideology, revealing ideological intervention in the translation process. The analysis found that the translator de-emphasized the negative aspects of ‘us’ and emphasized those of ‘them’, consistent with van Dijk’s Ideological Square.
