Summary

This study investigated the effects of psychological empowerment and organizational culture on elementary school teachers’ competence for building educational community. The results showed that there were differences in teachers’ competence based on whether they worked in an innovation school and their teaching experience, and psychological empowerment and organizational culture (excluding rational culture) were positively related to teachers’ competence. In particular, teacher competency and innovative organizational culture significantly influenced the enhancement of teachers’ competence for building educational community.
