Summary

This study explored improvement strategies for the fairness of the comprehensive school admission system based on the perceptions of high school teachers in non-equilibrium areas. The results indicated that teachers perceived fairness as ‘something universally acceptable’ and ‘admission based on merit’, while also identifying potential unfairness due to school and teacher disparities in the current system. Suggested improvements included strengthening the CSAT minimum standard, standardizing activity records, and increasing the weight of subject teachers’ contributions to school records.
