Summary

This research investigated university students’ perception of cooperative learning in a general English course, focusing on their expectations and experiences to promote a cooperative learning environment relevant to the Korean EFL context. Survey and interview results indicated students had favorable attitudes towards group-based learning, experiencing benefits such as social skills development and increased learning motivation, while also facing challenges in problem-solving and efficiency.
