Summary

This study examined the experiences of novice elementary teachers from four teacher education institutions to identify curriculum elements that supported their character education practice. The results indicated that major subjects, electives, and preparation for the teacher certification exam were helpful, and the usefulness of practicum experiences varied depending on the supervising teacher.
