Summary

This study explored the relationship between the MeToo movement spread via Twitter and existing media, and the meaning of the agendas focused on by users through network and text analysis. The results showed that tweets related to the sexual harassment of a webtoon artist and defamation related to the MeToo movement were influential, and opinions calling for the protection of women's rights were spread. Furthermore, the study revealed that Twitter played a role as a public forum contributing to the reporting of sexual violence and triggering/resolving gender conflict.
