Summary

This study developed an augmented reality-based image-guided intervention system that enables simultaneous viewing of ultrasound images and the patient’s body for a more intuitive ultrasound-based biopsy. The accuracy of matching real objects and augmented images was improved by 76% compared to the previous system through ultrasound image calibration, and the validity of the proposed system was verified.
