Summary
This study investigates how achievement goal, learning strategy, and behavioral strategy types in elementary school predict academic achievement in middle school. Latent class regression analysis revealed five groups (lowest motivation, low motivation, average, high strategy, and high goal), with differing predictors of academic achievement for each group. Based on these findings, the study emphasizes the need for individualized educational interventions considering academic motivation types.
