Summary

This study proposes a novel immersive virtual reality experience environment for walking adaptation of visually impaired people, utilizing deep learning-based braille block recognition, tracker-based walking process, and controller-based VR white cane. Experimental results from the developed VR application confirm that the proposed environment provides a high-level presence walking experience and accurately recognizes braille blocks.
