This study analyzes the impact of internationalization, economic boom, and democratization, centered around the Seoul Olympics, on the qualitative growth and quantitative expansion of modern prints in Korea from the 1980s to the mid-1990s. Internationalization contributed to the activation of workshops and increased overseas study through expanded international exchange, while the economic boom led to an expansion of the middle class and increased demand for culture and art. Furthermore, democratization utilized the mass distribution potential of prints as an effective means of conveying political messages.
