Summary

This study compares and analyzes the subject literacy content reflected in Korean and American science textbooks to improve subject learning through the connection between science content and language function. Based on this, it proposes directions for science textbook development, such as reflecting a dual-track curriculum, joint participation of experts, presenting various reading/writing materials, and establishing special function corners.
