Summary

This study aimed to investigate factors affecting adherence to telephone crisis counseling. The results showed that callers who were divorced, separated, or widowed, had a history of psychiatric treatment, and were assigned to a higher risk group based on the CTRS assessment demonstrated better counseling maintenance. These findings can be used to develop more effective suicide prevention programs, particularly for unmarried individuals and those without a history of psychiatric treatment.
