This study aims to identify implications for local governments to adopt and promote Social Impact Bonds (SIBs) through an analysis of domestic and international SIB cases. Successful SIB implementation requires thorough discussion among stakeholders, measurement of social costs and application to various fields, and clear role allocation and institutional arrangements for local governments.
