Summary

This study examines the current status of Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) mobile apps in the context of a lack of smart learning in Japanese education, and considers the design and functions needed for future development. Current apps suffer from overlapping questions and a lack of feedback, particularly Korean-developed apps focus on word learning. Interview results highlight the need for core prototype development, curriculum linkage, and enhanced interactive feedback functionality.
