Summary

This study investigated the antioxidant and anti-aging activities of Chionanthus retusus flower extracts. Specifically, the hot water extract (FHWE) exhibited high flavonoid and polyphenol content, along with excellent SOD-like activity, ABTS and DPPH radical scavenging activity, and collagenase and elastase inhibition activity. These results suggest that Chionanthus retusus flower can be utilized as a functional ingredient in cosmetics and nutricosmetics.
