Summary

This study, a foundational research for developing disability awareness improvement programs for university students, qualitatively analyzed the experiences of university students with peer support for students with disabilities. The results showed that university students’ disability awareness improved through inclusive education experiences, significantly influenced by teachers, parents of students with disabilities, and peers. Based on these findings, the study suggests improving special education introductory courses for prospective teachers, developing disability awareness liberal arts courses for university students, and conducting disability awareness surveys for university staff.
