Summary

This study examines the appropriateness of the 2015 revised Korean curriculum in the grammar area in terms of core competencies, pointing out that changes are minimal or irrelevant to the purpose of the new curriculum except for “teaching and learning methods” and “evaluation methods.” To address this, the study proposes core competency research in grammar education, relationship research at the achievement standards level, selection of core content, and a method for describing achievement standards to implement integration.
