Summary

This study aims to identify and suggest a method for improving EFL learners’ fluency by activating their procedural memory through memorization and repetition activities. The results indicate that participants initially hesitated to attempt memorization and repetition, but became more willing and showed reduced errors in memorizing movie scenes after engaging in the activities. These findings suggest that memorization and repetition activities, which activate procedural memory, can improve the fluency of EFL learners.
