Summary

This study argues that folk songs resembling modern oral songs created in contemporary society should be accepted as research objects within folksong studies. Collecting and recording "songs of the contemporary era" is crucial for restoring the social function of songs and reflecting on the present, while considering the socio-cultural meaning to prevent folk song research from becoming overly focused on the past.
