Summary

This study identifies the necessity of strengthening character education capabilities of middle school teachers and suggests directions for developing training programs. Considering that teachers have a high willingness to practice character education but lack confidence in their capabilities, and students perceive lower effectiveness than teachers, a multi-layered model based on restorative practices and positive behavior support is proposed. Furthermore, the applicability of teacher education based on action learning utilizing teacher learning communities is explored.
