Summary

This study confirmed that the number sense of elementary students with mild intellectual disabilities is lower than that of typical preschoolers. In particular, differences were prominent in the areas of number recognition, quantity discrimination, and measure, and specific differences were revealed through comparisons with preschooler groups by sub-area. The results suggest the need for number sense education for elementary students with mild intellectual disabilities.
