Summary

This paper reviews the potential and limitations of applying remote sensing technology to the forestry sector in Korea, based on domestic and international research. Various remote sensing technologies, such as laser scanning, satellite imagery, and UAVs, can contribute to large-scale forest analysis and forestry development, and are expected to usher in a new era of forestry through the fusion with Information and Communication Technology.
