Summary

This study narratively explored the school violence victimization experience of ‘Huni’, a North Korean defector’s child born in a third country, to understand his life and the meaning of his victimization. The results showed that ‘Huni’ suffered from domestic violence, separation experience, prejudice, discrimination, and school violence, and was eventually forced to leave school without proper healing or compensation. This experience suggests a connection to not only individual problems but also structural issues within the home, school, and society.
