This study examined elementary school individual career counseling to prepare a foundation for meeting the career counseling needs of elementary school children and their parents. Based on an understanding of the rapidly changing future society, it proposes practical approaches and intervention strategies for career counseling in elementary school, suggesting new career theories beyond the personal-environmental matching perspective and the use of counseling media such as occupational cards, career development SCT, and career genograms. It also discusses practical aspects of career indecision problems (versatility, interest mismatch, parent-child conflict, etc.) in elementary school.
