Summary

This study analyzes the current status of internet suggestive advertising in Korea and compares it with regulations in major countries, identifying problems in domestic regulations and suggesting policy recommendations. The study found that domestic internet advertising regulation is in its early stages and effective regulation is difficult due to the limitations of self-regulation, the ambiguity of legal regulations, and the excessive number of related laws. Therefore, establishing a systematic self-regulatory body, unifying standards of indecency, simplifying laws, and building a cooperative system between government agencies are necessary.
