This study analyzes how literary knowledge related to narrative time is concretized in literature textbooks, focusing on ‘time’ as a key feature of modern novel narratives. Narrative time plays an important role in understanding novels as a background, a chain of events, an aesthetic method, and a source of empathy, but it often remains superficial in actual literary education. Therefore, this study aims to review how narrative time is handled in novel literature education through learning activities in literature textbooks and to suggest a direction for novel education.
