This study emphasizes the educational necessity of Korean contemporary history as a part of Korean culture education and develops contemporary history education content suitable for foreign learners to understand Korean society. Through surveys and analysis of preceding studies, it was revealed that contemporary history satisfies the significance and usefulness of the content and contributes to understanding current issues in Korean society and the responses of Koreans. The study proposes 8 sessions of contemporary history education content applicable to universities and language schools.
