Summary

This study examined the mediating effects of emotional regulation on the relationship between emotional labor and job enthusiasm/customer orientation among hospital service employees. The results showed that negative emotional suppression rules perfectly mediated the relationship between emotional labor and emotional regulation, while the mediating effect of positive emotional expression rules on job enthusiasm was not significant. Emotional regulation also had a significant effect on both customer orientation and job enthusiasm.
